In 2013, there was a suicide bombing in the All Saints Church in Peshawar, Pakistan. More than 80 were killed instantly and many were seriously injured. Children were left orphaned and with nowhere to go. We set up a children’s home called the Mother Care Center where the injured children would have medical attention, daily food provided, and personalized care. With much prayer and many gifts toward medical care, the children were in most cases healed!
- The orphanage program called the Mother Child Care is now based in Lahore, where we are assisting 38 orphans, providing food and housing, spiritual guidance, emotional assistance and other care.
- CCM is currently involved in special educational assistance to needy students. We also are helping establish two schools. One of these schools (Kasur Area) is primarily for children enslaved and forced by their parent’s poverty and debt to make bricks. The other one (Multan Area) is in an area where the Christian teachers, Christian students (and other non-Muslims) were not allowed to attend the public schools. The district Board of Education had decided that public schools should be only for Muslims. Therefore, the Christian teachers wanted to start a school for the students denied access to the public schools. CCM has provided the started up costs and is considering taking on monthly support for continuing the school.
- We are also providing school books, uniforms and other school supplies to our orphans and to the schools associated with Rescue for Heaven Ministries.
- CCM continues to provide assistance to persecuted believers and
their families who are unable to provide for themselves due to security and employment impediments.
We continue to be prepared to respond with humanitarian assistance to any emergencies and crisis that arises.
